About Troop 1965

Troop 1965 is a Scouts BSA troop for girls ages 11–17 based in Nassau Bay, serving families throughout the Clear Lake and surrounding communities.  Chartered by St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church, we help Scouts grow through outdoor adventure, leadership, service, and the challenge of learning new skills.

Built for Adventure.
Built for Leadership.

Scouting is about learning by doing. Troop 1965 gives girls opportunities to camp, explore, develop outdoor skills, serve their community, and take on increasing responsibility as they grow. Along the way, Scouts learn to lead, work as a team, solve problems, and become more confident in what they can accomplish.

What Makes Troop 1965 Different?

Troop 1965 is Scout-led. That means our Scouts don’t just participate in the program—they help plan it, lead it, and make it their own. Adult leaders provide guidance, training, and support while giving Scouts room to learn through experience, including the occasional mistake.

Scout-Led

Scouts help plan activities, lead meetings, make decisions, and take responsibility for making the troop successful.

Adventure-Focused

Camping, hiking, paddling, and other outdoor experiences give Scouts opportunities to learn skills, test themselves, and have fun together.

Service-Minded

Service is part of Scouting. Scouts work together to help their community, support others, and put leadership into practice.
